Kay Kudo (B.A.) has recently retired from the State of Hawaii’s Department of Education. She spends her free time babysitting her grandson Colby and volunteering at the Hale Avenue Nursing Home.

Wanda Collins (M.A.) a retired elementary school administrator is now a docent for the Banning Residence Museum of Wilmington, California.

Christopher Harz (MBA, M.A.) initiated a special congressional hearing in Washington DC that considered the implementation of new internet technology in the US Government. Harz is currently a doctoral student in the educational technology program at GSEP.

Chenits Pettigrew (Ed.D.) was honored by the University of Pittsburgh African American Alumni Council for the impact he has made in the last 30 years in academic policies, curriculum development, and retention programs for underrepresented students at universities across the nation. Pettigrew is currently director of admissions and student affairs for the School of Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh.

Anthony S. Tricoli (Ed.D.) was named president of Georgia Perimeter College.

Shannon Hanrahan (M.A.) has taken on a new role as the clinical director for the Hollywood Wilshire YMCA Counseling Center.

Mark Lonergan (Ed.D.) is a math coach with the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Janelle Pfister (M.A.) is the owner of ProTurf, a landscaping and property maintenance company. She is also a professor of human services at SUNY Empire State College and the proud mother of Milan (6 years old) and Anthony (3 years old).

Karen Morrison (M.A.) is the president and CEO of Women4Success, an organization offering business coaching, support groups, workshops and seminars to women business owners.

Steve Olmos (M.S.) recently accepted the position of superintendent for the Willows Unified School District in Northern California.

Talin Dikranian (M.A.) left her position in the Education Department of the Autry National Center’s Museum of the American West to raise her two daughters. A member of the Burbank Sunrise Kiwanis, Talin enjoys volunteering her time whenever possible.

Elizabeth Maldonado (M.A.) was married on June 24, 2006 at the Bel Air Presbyterian Church. She has also recently earned her administrative credential.

Erika Yomtobian (Psy.D.) and Pepperdine adjunct faculty member Dr. Joan I. Rosenberg cohost a talk radio program in Los Angeles called Women’s Inspiration addressing serious and stimulating issues with a focus on positive mental health and transformation.

Mary Anne Campo (M.A.) is an instructional designer in information & learning technology at Northern Marianas College in Saipan. Campo is currently working on the development of an inter-island distance learning network funded with a $900,000 project grant.

Makeisa Gaines (M.S.) has accepted the Title 1 coordinator position at her school.

Karla Kahler (M.A.) is a licensed marriage and family therapist in Los Angeles. She opened a private psychotherapy practice in specializing in addictive behaviors, mood disorders, and people living with HIV/AIDS.

Arthur Rouse (M.A.) is director of the Kentucky Film Lab and owner of Video Editing Services. Rouse developed a certificate in filmmaking program at the Bluegrass Community and Technical College in Lexington, Kentucky. As director of the program, Rouse modeled the film curriculum on his master’s degree studies at the Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology.

Mara Leigh Taylor (M.A.) recently hired three Pepperdine alumni to work for her nonprofit organization for incarcerated individuals.

Janelle Joan (Martinez) Morgan (M.A.) and her husband Bodie are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Luke Tyler Morgan.

Devin Vodicka (M.S.) has been promoted to the director of curriculum and instruction development in the Carlsbad Unified School District.

Lisa Bahar (M.A.) has been elected to the board of directors of AAMFT-CA. She serves as department chair of human services for Saddleback Community College and is also associate faculty and drug court liaison for South County.

Jonathan Liu (M.A.) is pleased to announce the birth of his daughter Emma Rose Liu.

Bernice Ledbetter (Ed.D.) has been named Chairwoman of the University of La Verne’s master of science in leadership management program.

Mikel H. Hand (Ed.D.) presented his dissertation abstract at the Joint Southern California Sigma Theta Tau research and Leadership Conference in October.
